The Story Of Jamberoo Valley Farm

amberoo Valley Farm is a 65 acre working Permaculture farm nestling on a plateau 1.85kms above Jamberoo village. Jamberoo is an easy 1 and half hour drive from Sydney airport. The farm is an extremely beautiful place with spectacular views in every direction, rolling permanently green pastures fringed by rainforest, with spectacular escarpment cliffs off to the west and the ocean away to the east. We run small flerds of cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens and a few ducks, it is a mixed farm in the traditional sense. Throughout the extensive vegetable gardens and on the many fruit trees you’ll find a vast range of both the familiar and the exotic growing, it’s a cornucopia.

In this place we’ve realised our long held fantasies for growing beautiful produce, caring for special animals, cooking long and slow, educating, caring for the land and providing hospitality to people. We try to make sure that everyone who comes to the farm to feel re-energised and nurtured. This truly is living the agrarian dream in a paradise setting. When you come to stay at Jamberoo Valley Farm you are able to share in all of it. You can help us feed the animals and collect eggs in the mornings, gather produce from the gardens for meals you might want to prepare while you’re staying and roam the paddocks to check on the cattle and sheep. A little bit like being a farmer for a weekend or longer.

The property straddles the quiet Wallaby Hill Road. Our guests come to stay at either The Bales on the farm side of the road or the main house, Big Sky set amongst an acre of garden on the opposite side facing the sea. We want to inspire people who visit us to take some of what they experience and feel back home when they leave, maybe to apply more permaculture principles in their lives, or to grow more of their own food or maybe just to extend the feeling of good energy to the world.

At different times we run events or workshops to do with Permaculture, Sustainable Soil Fertility, or themed around seasonal traditions of food, sustainable living, how to grow food and events designed for families and children, introducing them to farm animals, showing them where their food comes from, how good home grown food tastes and how they can produce it themselves.

You can participate in our events or simply come to stay with us for a few days….. ALWAYS though………JAMBEROO VALLEY FARM IS MORE OF AN EXPERIENCE THAN JUST A PLACE TO STAY.
